Islamabad, June 4, 2025: During a standard patrol in Rawalpindi, the Motorway Police stopped two vans under suspicion and discovered 2,000 kilograms of toxic meat in a swift operation.

As per the Motorway Police spokesperson, the vans were stopped after officers observed unusual behavior in their movement. Upon inspection, a large quantity of meat was found inside. Later, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) confirmed that the meat was unsuitable for human consumption and posed a risk to public health.

The individuals involved were immediately handed over to Punjab Food Authority officials for legal proceedings. Officials confirmed that the meat was destroyed in a safe manner, and a formal investigation is currently in progress.

The Motorway Police’s swift response helped stop the distribution of contaminated meat to the public, preventing a possible health emergency.
