Islamabad, June 6, 2025: Brazilian winger Raphinha has been named LaLiga’s Player of the Season following a remarkable run that helped Barcelona win three domestic trophies.
The club’s rising star Lamine Yamal also earned recognition, receiving the Best Under-23 Player honour.
Raphinha’s influence on the pitch was undeniable. He played 57 matches in all competitions, scoring 34 goals and assisting 25 times, contributing directly to Barcelona’s title victories in LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
The 28-year-old moved to the Camp Nou in 2022 from Leeds United and recently signed a contract that ties him to the club until 2028.

In one of the Champions League’s dramatic moments this season, Raphinha netted a late goal in the semi-final second leg against Inter Milan. Despite putting Barcelona ahead, the Italian side drew level in stoppage time and went on to score the winner in extra time. That goal marked his 13th in 14 Champions League appearances.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Yamal continued to impress after making waves last season. He scored nine goals in LaLiga and added five more in the Champions League, cementing his reputation as one of football’s brightest young stars.
