Islamabad, June 7, 2025: FIFA has officially reached out to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), inviting it to become part of its global initiative, Football for Schools (F4S), a campaign designed to encourage football at the school level and introduce the sport to children across the globe.

The offer, addressed to PFF President Syed Mohsen Gilani, arrives as the ongoing phase of the programme approaches its conclusion. FIFA has marked December 31 as the final date for member nations to confirm whether they will come aboard.

Should Pakistan agree to take part, FIFA has promised generous backing. This includes 164,940 footballs for school children aged 4 to 14, based on the student population enrolled in primary and secondary institutions throughout the country. Additionally, PFF will receive a one-time grant of USD 50,000 to kick-start the project on its homeland.

As part of the support package, participants will be given access to the F4S mobile app, which is compatible with smartphones and features a comprehensive guide for delivering football-related educational content. FIFA will also provide a team of experts to conduct training workshops, either virtually or in person, for physical education teachers selected from across Pakistan.
