Islamabad, 11 June 2025: The post-Hajj repatriation operation has officially begun, marking the first Hajj return flight arriving in Pakistan.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-732, carrying 340 pilgrims from Jeddah, safely landed at Islamabad International Airport at 3:12 AM, launching the nationwide return phase for Hajj 2025.

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, personally welcomed the returning pilgrims at the airport.

Alongside him were senior officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including the Director and Additional Director of Hajj, as well as the Airport Manager Aftab Gilani.

Speaking to the pilgrims, Dr. Chaudhry expressed gratitude for their safe return and reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting citizens in fulfilling their religious duties.

“There’s no doubt that the Government of Pakistan provided outstanding services throughout the pilgrimage,” he stated. “It is our responsibility to assist the faithful at every step of this sacred journey.”

Pilgrims praised the arrangements made by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, describing them as organized, efficient, and respectful of the spiritual importance of the Hajj.

Many also acknowledged the strong cooperation between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, which ensured smooth logistics and commendable hospitality.

Airport Manager Aftab Gilani confirmed that Islamabad International Airport has finalized all necessary preparations for the post-Hajj phase.

Over 30,000 pilgrims are expected to return to the capital in the coming month, with flight operations continuing through 10 July. He also noted that flights from Madinah will commence one week after the Jeddah operations.

The first Hajj return marks a significant moment of homecoming and spiritual fulfillment for thousands of Pakistanis.

As per officials, the coordination between departments and the ongoing post-Hajj efforts are designed to maintain comfort and dignity for every pilgrim re-entering the country.

The government has pledged to further improve services for the next Hajj season. Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry assured the public that “next year’s arrangements will surpass this year’s in quality and efficiency.”
