Islamabad, June 11, 2025: Pakistan received a total of $3.7 billion in remittances from overseas Pakistanis during May 2025, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The state bank also noted that during May a 13.7% rise in remittance inflows on a month-on-month basis was observed, showing steady growth in overseas contributions. The increase was mainly because of higher amounts sent by overseas Pakistanis due to Eid-ul-Azha.

The remittances number for May 2025 is the second highest on record, only behind remittances of $4.2 billion recorded in March 2025.
