Islamabad, June 14, 2025: Iran had initiated a new wave of long-range missile and drone assaults on Israel in late hours of Friday, further escalating the conflict between the two nations.

The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that “another volley of dozens of missiles was launched towards the State of Israel,” as warning sirens were heard throughout the country and the Iron Dome system intercepted several of the approaching threats.

Blasts and blazes were reported in numerous regions, including areas close to the Israeli Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv. Local media stated that missiles impacted at least seven different sites across central Israel, though exact details on destruction have yet to be released.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility, saying that “Iran carried out its crushing and precise response against dozens of targets, military centres and airbases.” They described the offensive as a “powerful and accurate retaliation” in response to Israeli aerial attacks on Iranian atomic facilities and the elimination of high-ranking Iranian officials.

The order reportedly came from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei said Israel’s strikes had “initiated a war” and it would not be allowed to do “hit and run” attacks without consequences. “The Zionist regime will not remain unscathed from the consequences of its crime. The Iranian nation must be guaranteed that our response will not be half-measured,” Iranian Supreme Leader stated.
