Earlier, Lewis and Hope gave the Caribbean side a dream launch, plundering 70 in the powerplay. Spinner Matthew Humphreys stood out with an economical 2 for 16. But the rest of Ireland’s attack suffered, especially debutant Liam McCarthy, who conceded 81 in four overs — the worst figures on T20I debut.
