Islamabad, June 17, 2025: In a major development, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is set to launch advance Hajj 2026 registration in the coming four to five days. This early registration drive will be open to all intending pilgrims—whether they opt for the government Hajj scheme or choose a private Hajj operator.

According to ministry sources, this pre-registration initiative is part of a broader strategic plan to enhance travel and accommodation arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims. It is being carried out in close coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Under the new policy framework, applicants will be required to deposit a token amount along with their registration forms. This deposit will later be adjusted in the final Hajj package cost. Only those who complete this advance step will be considered eligible for Hajj 2026.

Designated branches of various banks across Pakistan will handle the registration process. An official advertisement announcing the application procedure is expected shortly.

Importantly, even those who performed Hajj under a private scheme last year must re-register to be considered for the 2026 pilgrimage.

The data collected will also be used to help Saudi authorities finalize Pakistan’s Hajj quota. The Ministry urges all interested pilgrims to remain alert and start preparing documentation early.

This early planning step reflects Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring a seamless and spiritually fulfilling journey for its pilgrims.
