Islamabad, June 18, 2025: Careem has stopped its ride-hailing services in Pakistan as of July 18, 2025, but the company is now working on a new “Everything App.” This new app will offer food, groceries, and payment services across Pakistan, directly competing with platforms like Foodpanda.
Careem CEO Mudassir Sheikha announced this new direction. A new company called Careem Technologies has been set up to develop and grow this multi-service app from Pakistan. It will build on Careem’s existing capabilities in food, groceries, and payments.

Careem Technologies currently has a team of nearly 400 employees in Pakistan, including engineers, product developers, and operations staff, all focused on this new app. The company is also looking to hire over 100 more people locally to help with regional product development. Pakistan is also home to Careem’s Falcon / NextGen graduate program, which trains top university graduates for the app’s growth.
While specific details about the upcoming app are limited, hints suggest it will be a strong competitor to Foodpanda, especially for food and grocery deliveries. This means users can expect a wide range of delivery and other services.
