Adding to the debate, Senator Kamil Ali Agha also expressed worry that the government’s proposed 10 percent salary increase and 7 percent pension increase for its employees might not be enough to counter the rising cost of living (inflation). He urged the government to reconsider these amounts to give more relief to ordinary citizens and ensure that resources are directed towards those who are less fortunate.
