Islamabad, June 20, 2025: In a groundbreaking academic development, ten prestigious universities from South Korea have announced fully funded scholarships for students of the University of Home Economics (UHE), Lahore. This initiative, revealed by Punjab’s Higher Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, marks a significant stride in fostering international academic collaboration and innovation.
These scholarships will allow UHE students to pursue advanced studies in specialized fields including Aesthetics, Robotic Arms, and Aviation Technology. The move is aligned with the Punjab Government’s broader agenda to promote global educational exposure and equip students with futuristic skills.
UHE Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zaib-un-nisa Hussain, extended her gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab and the Higher Education Minister for believing in the potential of UHE’s student body. She praised the initiative as a historic opportunity that would reshape the academic journey of countless students and elevate Pakistan’s presence in the global academic community.
This promising collaboration was solidified following a high-profile visit by a South Korean academic delegation to UHE. During their interaction with students and faculty, both sides explored research partnerships and future academic exchanges.
