Islamabad, June 22, 2025: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has voiced strong concern over the recent developments in the Islamic Republic of Iran, following reported strikes by the United States on Iranian nuclear facilities.
In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom reaffirmed its earlier condemnation, first issued on June 13, 2025, against what it described as a “blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty.”
Saudi Arabia stressed the urgency of collective restraint and warned against the dangers of rising tensions in the already volatile Middle East. “The Kingdom underscores the need to exert all possible efforts to exercise restraint, de-escalate tensions, and avoid further escalation,” the statement read.
The Kingdom further appealed to the international community to take swift diplomatic action. It called for intensified global efforts to broker a political solution that would bring an end to the crisis and help ensure long-term security and stability in the region.
As regional and global powers respond to the situation, Saudi Arabia’s balanced and diplomatic stance aims to prevent a broader conflict and to keep channels of communication open. The Kingdom reiterated its commitment to peace, diplomacy, and the rule of international law as guiding principles for resolving the escalating situation.
