Islamabad, June 23, 2025: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy weather with chances of rain in Islamabad and its nearby areas, offering a brief respite amid the intensifying nationwide heatwave.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), most districts will continue to battle hot and humid conditions, though rainfall is likely in Swat, Dir, Haripur, and Abbottabad, where scattered thunderstorms may develop in the evening hours.
Meanwhile, Punjab remains under the grip of scorching temperatures. However, rain is forecasted for Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Lahore, and Sargodha. In southern parts of the province like Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Dera Ghazi Khan, dust storms and strong winds are expected, potentially disrupting daily routines and visibility.
In Sindh, extreme heat is forecasted for the upper and central districts, especially during the peak daytime hours. Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur are also expected to experience suffocating humidity.
As for Balochistan, the weather will remain dry and hot, with the southern and eastern parts, including Turbat and Sibi, facing intense daytime temperatures that may exceed seasonal norms.
The Meteorological Department has urged citizens across the country to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight, and take precautions against heatstroke, particularly vulnerable populations like children and the elderly.
