Islamabad, June 24, 2025: San Francisco Unicorns continue their winning streak in the San Francisco Unicorns Vs MI New York, MLC 2025, securing their fifth consecutive victory with a 47-run win against MI New York. Setting the tone on a favorable Dallas surface, SFU made total of 246/4.

The match was powered by Matthew Short’s explosive 91 off just 43 deliveries. Although MINY’s openers had a fierce start, their pursuit lost momentum in the latter stages. The title-holders eventually ended at 199/6, falling well short of the target.

With Finn Allen unavailable due to illness, Tim Seifert opened the innings alongside captain Short, and the duo powered SFU to a solid start of 63 without loss during the powerplay. Short later joined forces with Jake Fraser-McGurk for a fiery second-wicket partnership, which featured a brutal 26-run over against Michael Bracewell.

He departed after scoring 91, while Fraser-McGurk smashed 64 off 26 ball. Sanjay Krishnamurthi (27 off 16) and Hassan Khan (31 off 9) later added crucial late runs in the final two overs to help SFU cross the 240-run mark in San Francisco Unicorns Vs MI New York fixture.

De Kock followed suit, bringing up his fifty in 30 balls. However, the momentum shifted once Liam Plunkett out Monank, and Nicholas Pooran was dismissed by a wide yorker from Haris Rauf. Despite some aggressive hitting by Kieron Pollard towards the end, the target remained unachievable as MINY faced their fourth loss in five matches.
