Islamabad, June 24, 2025: Microsoft has initiated trials for its newly combined gaming collection feature within the Xbox app for Windows PCs. Starting this week, Xbox Insiders will be able to view their Steam and Battle.net titles directly through the Xbox interface — turning it into a central hub for the majority of PC games already installed.
This integrated library is scheduled to be introduced to the Xbox app later in the year and will also be compatible with upcoming devices like the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds.
It’s part of Microsoft’s broader plan to position the Xbox app on Windows as the primary platform for PC gaming, aiming to rival services like Steam and SteamOS by merging Xbox and Windows experiences.

“When someone installs a title from a compatible PC platform, it will instantly appear in ‘My library’ in the Xbox PC app, as well as in the ‘Most recent’ section on the side panel, allowing quicker access to return to your games,” says Manisha Oza, Xbox platform product lead. Microsoft notes that more PC platforms will be supported gradually.

For those interested in exploring the new library in the Xbox Windows app, they can install the Xbox Insider Hub on their PC and enroll in the PC gaming trial.
Users also have the option to adjust which platforms are visible by hiding any PC service in the Library & Extensions section under the Xbox app settings.
