Islamabad, June 24, 2025: In Inter Miami Vs Palmeiras, Palmeiras came from two goals behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Inter Miami on Monday. The team finish at top of Group A and advance to the Club World Cup last 16. The result also saw both teams progress to the next stage.
Tadeo Allende and Luis Suarez had put Miami ahead with two goals, but late strikes from Paulinho and Mauricio earned Palmeiras a point in the closing minutes.
Both sides ended the group stage with five points after Inter Miami Vs Palmeiras fixture. Inter Miami finished second due to goal difference, while Al-Ahly and Porto were knocked out after a thrilling 4-4 draw.
Lionel Messi’s side is set to face UEFA Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain whereas, Palmeiras will face domestic rivals Botafogo in an all-Brazilian showdown for a quarter-final.

“It was a brilliant effort from our team. Competing with one of South America’s top clubs isn’t easy,” said Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano, calling it a “historic night” for MLS. “It’s a strange feeling because we could’ve won, but if someone had told me before the tournament we’d play this well, I would’ve taken it.”

Inter Miami is now the only MLS club in the last 16, as LAFC and Seattle Sounders were knocked out.
Despite a strong start from Palmeiras, Miami broke through in the 16th minute with Allende’s solo goal. Suarez added another in the 65th, before Palmeiras responded late with Paulinho and Mauricio’s goals.
