Islamabad, June 27, 2025: The Jinnah International Airport management has released precautionary instructions in light of the forecasted rainfall in Karachi on Wednesday.
As per the advisory, the Jinnah airport authorities have urged all sections to stay extremely vigilant throughout the monsoon period in Karachi.
Simultaneously, the airport officials cautioned about a heightened possibility of bird presence due to insect growth triggered by the rainfall. They instructed that bird hazard teams and monitoring staff must be positioned at the airside.
Moreover, steps should be taken to shift or secure smaller aircraft in protected zones. The administration also highlighted the importance of removing blockages around the outer fencing to allow smooth drainage of rainwater.

In another developmement, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has also stated that starting from July 1 until September 15, 2025, Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport will stay closed daily from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

This step is taken in response to the growing presence of birds during the monsoon period, which causes safety concerns for flights.
