Islamabad, June 27, 2025: Several parts of Sindh including Karachi are likely to see rainfall and strong winds starting Friday and continuing into Saturday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The weather shift is due to humid winds moving in from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, along with a western disturbance affecting the northern parts of the country.
Rain and gusty winds are expected in areas like Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Khairpur, Sukkur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Dadu, Shahdadkot, Larkana, and their surroundings. Similar conditions are forecasted for a wider expanse including Dadu, Badin, Ghotki, Hyderabad, Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad, and nearby districts.
Isolated heavy rains are also likely during the period, possibly leading to waterlogging in low-lying parts of Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Mirpurkhas.
