Islamabad, June 28, 2025: TikTok is quietly testing a new messaging feature called Bulletin Boards, offering creators and brands a fresh way to send one-way public messages to followers—similar to Instagram’s broadcast channels.
This new tool allows select users to post updates using text, photos, and videos, creating a direct communication channel that followers can react to using emojis—but can’t reply to or comment on. The goal: build closer creator-fan relationships without the noise of public conversation.
According to TikTok, “Bulletin Boards are designed to help creators and brands share exclusive content and real-time updates with their communities.” The feature is being tested with big names like The Jonas Brothers, Paris Saint-Germain F.C., and People magazine.
Launched as part of TikTok’s evolving strategy to compete with other platforms, Bulletin Boards mirror features that Instagram rolled out in 2023. It’s another chapter in the ongoing battle of mimicry among major social apps—TikTok previously copied Stories from Instagram, while Instagram cloned TikTok’s Reels.
Experts say Bulletin Boards could be a game-changer for digital marketing, letting influencers and companies bypass the algorithm and deliver updates straight to their most loyal audience. While the feature is still in testing, future updates may include polls and other interactive tools to deepen engagement.
