Islamabad, June 30, 2025: With a spot in the quarterfinals up for grabs, Bayern Munich ignited the contest within minutes, pushing their Brazilian rivals Flamengo to the brink in Flamengo vs Bayern. Although Flamengo showed resilience during their dominant stretches, Vincent Kompany’s men secured the win and now are ready to face Champions League titleholders Paris Saint-Germain.
The German side struck first in the 6th minute when Joshua Kimmich’s corner was unintentionally deflected into his own net by Erick Pulgar. Just three minutes later, Bayern struck again—Dayot Upamecano’s forceful challenge on de Arrascaeta regained possession and Harry Kane fired in from 20 meters, aided slightly by a deflection off Leo Ortiz.
Attempts from distance by Konrad Laimer and Leo Pereira followed before Flamengo cut the gap past the half-hour mark. A wide ball to Alex Sandro was whipped centrally, brushing de Arrascaeta’s studs and landing at captain Gerson’s feet, who blasted it beyond Manuel Neuer.

Flamengo restarted with intensity as Michael Oliver awarded a penalty for a handball by Michael Olise. Ex-Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Jorginho calmly sent Neuer the wrong way.
Leroy Sané and Alexandar Pavlovic later replaced Coman and Goretzka. Though the pace dipped, Kane made it 4-2 in the 73rd minute after Kimmich’s pass led to another sharp finish. Bayern closed out the Flamengo vs Bayern fixture with authority.
