Islamabad, July 1, 2025: The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi has set a new benchmark by collecting a record Rs3.5 trillion in revenue during the fiscal year 2024-25, marking a strong 29% growth from the previous year’s Rs2.515 trillion.

In a historic single-day performance, LTO Karachi collected Rs184.7 billion, the highest-ever figure for one day, reflecting improved efficiency and strengthened tax systems.

June 2025 alone recorded Rs449.05 billion, a notable 48% increase compared to Rs302.83 billion in June 2024. This surge pushed the annual collection past Rs3.256 trillion, the highest in the office’s history.

Under the leadership of Chief Commissioner Zubair Bilal, the LTO achieved new milestones, with officials crediting teamwork and strategic coordination across departments.

Income tax led the revenue chart with Rs1.818 trillion, followed by sales tax at Rs1.301 trillion, and federal excise duty contributing Rs222.2 billion.

The office attributes its success to a robust operational framework and collective dedication. These record numbers reaffirm LTO Karachi’s role as Pakistan’s top tax-collecting entity.
