Islamabad, July 1, 2025: Former captain and famous all-rounder Shahid Afridi will lead the Pakistan Champions team in the next World Championship of Legends (WCL) season 2, which will take place from July 18 to August 2, 2025.

The Pakistan Champions team will also include Sarfaraz Ahmed, who was the captain when Pakistan won the Champions Trophy in 2017. The team will also have experienced all-rounders Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez, who bring a lot of knowledge to the game.

Sharjeel Khan and Kamran Akmal will make the batting stronger, and Asif Ali will help finish matches with his hard-hitting style.

For those who don’t know, the WCL 2025 will be played at four grounds in England: Edgbaston (Birmingham), County Ground (Northampton), Grace Road (Leicester), and Headingley (Leeds).

Six teams — India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, and West Indies — will play in a round-robin format, and the best four teams will move to the semi-finals.

This will be the second season of WCL. The first season was held in 2024, where the Indian team, led by Yuvraj Singh, became the champions.
