Islamabad, July 1, 2025: In a groundbreaking move, the Lahore Traffic Police has launched Pakistan’s first-ever International Driving License Kiosk at Allama Iqbal International Airport to serve overseas Pakistanis more efficiently.

This new facility was officially inaugurated by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Dr. Athar Waheed, marking a major milestone in improving access to international driving licenses. According to CTO Waheed, this initiative allows travelers to obtain their international driving licenses within minutes, just before boarding their flights abroad.

The newly-installed kiosk will remain operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing essential services including license issuance, renewals, duplicates, and learner permits. The round-the-clock availability ensures convenience for citizens, especially those flying at odd hours or on tight schedules.

This smart solution reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to modernizing public services and enhancing the travel experience of Pakistanis heading overseas. With the addition of this facility, residents of Lahore can now enjoy hassle-free, on-the-spot driving license services at the airport, eliminating the need for time-consuming visits to traffic offices.
