Islamabad, July 2, 2025: Shimron Hetmyer carried on his intense form in the ongoing US T20 competition, delivering another match-winning performance to steer Seattle to a four-wicket triumph over San Francisco at Lauderhill on Tuesday.

This win marked Seattle’s third straight final-over finish, with Hetmyer leading the charge in each chase.

Chasing a target of 169 at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground after San Francisco made 168/5, Seattle was in a risky position at 56/4 when Hetmyer took the crease.

The left-handed batter calmly handled the pressure and launched a fierce counterattack, finishing unbeaten on 78 from just 37 balls. His explosive innings included four boundaries and seven sixes, striking at an incredible rate of 210.81.

With Seattle needing 80 from 47 deliveries and half the side dismissed, Hetmyer made key stands with Heinrich Klaasen and Aaron Jones to maintain momentum. He raised his fifty off just 23 balls with a straight maximum, showing no let-up even as partners fell.

” It’s just to make sure that the run-rate doesn’t get above 12, really,” said Hetmyer. ” 0 for me is fine, but once it gets above 12, that takes just a little bit more doing. So I just go down to the other partner if he’s not striking the ball, I try as much as possible to to give him some energy based, as we say in the Caribbean, some energy and for him to just go out, and for him to also be positive, and to play these strong shots as well, if he can’t, just give it back to me, and then I’ll see what I can get.”
