Islamabad, July 2, 2025: In a major relief for luxury car buyers, the federal government’s fiscal reforms under the Finance Act 2025 have slashed duties on imported vehicles, resulting in significant price drops for high-end SUVs across Pakistan.
The reduction in Customs Duty (CD), Regulatory Duty (RD), and Additional Customs Duty (ACD) — with ACD alone cut from 7% to 6% — has made a direct impact on prices of popular imported models. Fresh SROs have ensured that these changes translate quickly to the market.

These duty relaxations are set to benefit affluent buyers and authorized importers, reviving the premium vehicle market. The cuts are also aimed at reducing dependency on illegal channels and discouraging misuse of amnesty schemes.
With these revisions, Pakistan’s auto import sector may see a renewed boom in the coming months as luxury becomes more accessible to elite consumers.
