This marks Pakistan’s first international win since September 2023, reviving hopes for the team’s continental journey.
Nadia Khan gave Pakistan an early lead in the 8th minute with her fifth international goal. Just 10 minutes later, Suha Hirani calmly converted a penalty to double the advantage. Despite being ranked 157th, Pakistan showed grit and determination against 95th-ranked Indonesia.
Indonesia dominated possession with 63% and fired 20 shots—eight of which were on target—but were denied every time by Pakistan’s solid defense. Goalkeeper Zeeyana Jivraj stood tall under pressure, ensuring a clean sheet with multiple crucial saves.
Though outplayed in stats, Pakistan remained sharp in finishing, converting 3 of their 5 attempts into real threats. Indonesia’s closest moment came when a powerful strike hit the post.
