Islamabad, July 3, 2025: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially announced the MDCAT 2025 official date, confirming the nationwide entrance exam will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
This update was shared during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services, chaired by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani. PMDC officials confirmed the test will take place simultaneously across all provinces.
Along with the date, PMDC unveiled the revised MDCAT 2025 curriculum, which includes Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning. The test will consist of 180 MCQs, to be attempted in three hours, with no negative marking. The question distribution will be 15% easy, 70% moderate, and 15% difficult.
To qualify, students must score at least 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS admissions.
PMDC President Dr. Rizwan Taj stated that the question bank is already in development, created with input from academic experts, boards, and universities.
