Islamabad, July 3, 2025: The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (ITT) has announced an attractive job opportunity for qualified professionals. The opportunity is inviting applications for the post of Research Fellow with a salary package of up to Rs500,000 per month.
According to the official announcement, candidates must either have a Master’s degree or 16 years of education in Computer Science, IT, Information Management Systems, Network and Telecommunication, Software Engineering or related ICT fields.
The degree must be from an HEC-recognised local or international university of high standing.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates who are applying must have at least three years of in-field experience. Moreover, candidates expertise should include:
- Development and formulation of Telecom sector key performance indicators.
- Local and international Telecom stakeholder engagement.
- Understanding of Telecom regulations and frameworks.
- Experience with statistical sources, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to work in a team and prepare policy briefs.

Salary Package
The Research Fellow post falls under the SPPS-IV Scale, offering a fixed salary package of up to Rs500,000 per month (all-inclusive). The amount is negotiable at the time of interview.
Contract Duration
Initially, the appointment will be on a contract basis for two years. It may be extended for another two years based on performance and needs. The position will be filled under the Special Professional Pay Scales (SPPS) policy as per government rules.
