Islamabad, July 9, 2025: The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board has officially released the Punjab Urdu Textbook 2025 for 11th-grade students under the newly introduced curriculum. This launch is part of a wider academic overhaul by the Punjab Education Curriculum and Assessment Authority (PECAA), affecting key subjects including Urdu, English, Islamic Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

The revised 11th Class Urdu New Syllabus aims to modernize content and improve learning outcomes. A total of 27,000 copies of the updated Urdu textbook have been printed, each priced at Rs. 151. The writing team includes renowned scholars like Dr. Khawar Nawazish, Tariq Habib, Prof. Zafar-ul-Haq Chishti, Tahir Siddiqui, and Hannan Mahmood.

Students in Grade 9 and 11 will now follow these updated syllabi starting from the current academic session.

In addition, Professor Naseer Bashir of Dial Singh College has introduced a new guidebook titled “Gohar Urdu”, fully aligned with the latest curriculum. The guidebook is designed to assist students in understanding and preparing for their Urdu exams effectively.
