Islamabad, July 9, 2025: Pakistan has set a new record in workers’ remittances, reaching $38.3 billion in FY2025, up 27% from $30.3 billion last year, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). This marks the highest ever annual remittance inflow in the country’s history.

In June 2025, remittances totaled $3.4 billion, showing an 8% increase year-on-year (YoY) compared to $3.2 billion in June 2024. However, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, inflows declined by 8%, dropping from $3.7 billion in May 2025.

According to Topline Securities, this surge reflects stronger inflows from key countries including:

  • Saudi Arabia: $823 million
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE): $717 million
  • United Kingdom (UK): $538 million
  • European Union (EU): $442 million

The continued rise in overseas Pakistani remittances shows strong economic ties and consistent support from the diaspora.
