Islamabad, July 11, 2025: The family of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali, found dead in her DHA Phase VI apartment, has finally received her body from a welfare institution’s morgue in Karachi.

Her brother, Naveed Asghar, and brother-in-law arrived in the city Thursday morning and visited the SSP South’s office to complete legal formalities. Speaking to reporters, Naveed confirmed that Humaira Asghar was his younger sister, and that they had been in contact with police and the welfare center for three days.

Later, the family left for Lahore with Humaira’s body in an ambulance. Earlier, there were reports that the family had refused to receive the body, prompting the Sindh Culture Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah to offer full burial support. He expressed grief and said his department was ready to carry out the final rites if the family did not claim the body.

Humaira Asghar Ali, known for her appearance in the reality show Tamasha Ghar and film Jalaibee, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. Her passing has triggered shock and sorrow across the Pakistani entertainment industry. Celebrities took to social media to offer condolences and urged people to check on loved ones living alone.

The tragedy follows the recent death of 84-year-old veteran actress Ayesha Khan, who was also found lifeless in in her Karachi flat, highlighting growing concerns about isolation and mental health.
