Islamabad, July 11, 2025: The Punjab government has announced an ad hoc relief allowance for civil servants ranging from Grade 1 to 22.
A circular from the provincial finance division mentioned that salaries will be raised by 10 percent based on the existing basic salary. Moreover, the department verified a 5 percent increase in pensions for retired public servants. The relief allowance will come into force from July 1, 2025.
Earlier this month, the federal government had issued a notification for a 10 per cent rise in the salaries of federal employees, including military personnel and civil armed forces, alongside the approval of a Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) equivalent to 30 per cent of basic salary.

The Finance Ministry issued an official circular confirming that the salary revision also covers contract employees. As part of the 2025-26 fiscal plan, the federal government had also approved a 7 percent increase in pensions.
