Islamabad, July 11, 2025: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced new job openings for Sub-Inspector (BPS-14) positions under Pakistan Customs. A total of 148 seats have been advertised for recruitment on a contract basis for two years.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold at least a second-class or grade ‘C’ bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Accounting, Computer Science, Law, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Physics, or B.Sc. Engineering in any field.
Eligibility Criteria
Male applicants must have a minimum height of 5 feet 5 inches, while female applicants must be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall. The maximum age limit for applicants is 30 years, with up to five years of relaxation available for eligible categories.
Quota-Wise Seat Distribution
FBR has issued a detailed breakdown of the seats according to the provincial and regional quotas:
- Punjab: 54 seats
- Balochistan: 47 seats
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 13 seats
- Sindh (Rural): 12 seats
- Sindh (Urban): 8 seats
- Ex-FATA: 3 seats
- Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK): 2 seats
- Gilgit Baltistan: 1 seat
- Open Merit: 8 seats

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the National Job Portal (NJP) as no manual or hand-delivered applications will be accepted.
Candidates can apply for only one post at a time. FBR has emphasized that the hiring will strictly be on a contractual basis, and extensions will depend on future approvals.

Recruitment Process
Shortlisted applicants will be called for written tests, interviews, and physical assessments as per the set requirements. Only those meeting the qualifications, experience, and physical standards will be considered.
