Islamabad, July 11, 2025: The Ministry of Commerce on Thursday launched a dedicated platform aimed at boosting Pakistan’s digital trade and e-commerce sector while improving regional business connectivity through digital pathways.

The project was launched at the inauguration of GLOBE Pakistan Summit, introduced by Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce, in partnership with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

This event marks the country first-ever official platform fully devoted to advancing digital trade and regional cooperation.

Commerce Secretary Jawad Paul reiterated the government’s resolve to build a secure, globally connected digital trade framework. He mentioned that the government is actively supporting e-commerce and online platforms to assist local enterprises in accessing global markets.

Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch underlined the growing significance of economic diplomacy in widening Pakistan’s trade presence. She further emphasized the importance of utilizing digital solutions to strengthen regional ties and encourage cross-border commerce.
