Islamabad, July 11, 2025: Pakistan Railways is set to launch new high tech business trains in Lahore on July 19 to develop public relations.
The new service will have 28 modern coaches with digital features, free WiFi, and a top quality dining, giving passengers a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience.
The upgrading effort includes new digital ticketing, better onboard services, and improved station facilities which is all designed to make travel more convenient for passengers and help the railway run more smoothly.

Media sources suggest that the inauguration of the project will be formally conducted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore. This initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen and modernize PR.
At the same time, Pakistan Railways plans to outsource several services — including the commercial operations of passenger trains— to the private sector.
These services have been run both directly and through outsourcing, using a transparent bidding process to ensure fair competition and efficiency. All contracts were awarded through public advertisements and open tenders, in accordance with government policies.

A Ministry of Railways official revealed that, over the past three years, the department has earned more than Rs 3,959 million in revenue from operating brake and luggage vans.
