Islamabad, July 11, 2025: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has introduced a 10% discount on token tax for vehicle owners who pay their dues before August 30, 2025. This limited-time offer applies to token tax payments for the current fiscal year, providing timely relief amid rising costs.
Officials clarified that after the deadline, the full token tax will be charged without any concessions.
However, while this rebate offers some relief, the department has simultaneously increased vehicle transfer fees across Punjab.
- Motorcycle transfer fee increased by Rs. 55 — now Rs. 605
- Cars (650cc–1000cc): up Rs. 275, now Rs. 3,025
- Cars (1000cc–1800cc): up Rs. 550, now Rs. 6,050
- Cars (1800cc+): up Rs. 1,100, now Rs. 12,100
- Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs): up Rs. 550, now Rs. 6,050
