Islamabad, July 11, 2025: Saudi Arabia have always been one of the top choices for Pakistan’s skilled professionals. This is because of its booming economy and massive Vision 2030 projects like NEOM and the Red Sea development. If you’re planning to work in Saudi Arabia next year, here’s all what you need to know about the Skilled Worker Visa.
The Saudi Skilled Worker Visa lets qualified foreign workers live and work legally under a Saudi employer sponsorship. It is usually valid for one or two years and helps you get an Iqama that is the essential residency permit you need for work, banking, and daily life.
Eligibility Criteria
- Have a valid job offer from a Saudi registered company
- Required qualifications and 2–5 years work experience
- Be 21 years or older
- Pass a medical check
- No police record
- No previous visa violations in Saudi Arabia.
How It Works
Once you accept a job offer, your employer gets a visa authorization from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. After a medical test at an approved lab, you submit your documents at the Saudi embassy. The visa is stamped in your passport if approved.

Once in Saudi Arabia, your employer applies for your Iqama within 90 days — you can’t start work until you get it. Salaries are tax-free and many companies provide housing and health insurance.
Family Sponsorship & Other Perks
If you earn enough, around SAR 5,000–10,000 monthly, you can sponsor your spouse and kids. Professionals in high-demand roles may later qualify for Saudi’s Premium Residency, which doesn’t need employer sponsorship.
