Islamabad, July 113, 2025: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has begun installing a striking new sculpture along Islamabad’s Margalla Avenue, aiming to establish a new visual icon for the city.
The structure features two tall golden hands, each gripping a glowing globe. The installation, which will rise over 30 feet high, is designed to illuminate after sunset—creating a captivating entry point for motorists approaching the capital.
Currently under construction, the sculpture is mounted on a solid concrete pedestal, now wrapped for final finishing. Metallic globes were recently hoisted into place by crane, marking a major milestone in the project.

Margalla Avenue, which connects Islamabad’s northern sectors to the Grand Trunk (GT) Road, has seen major upgrades since its launch. The CDA has combined road widening with greenbelts, streetlights, and public art to modernize the route and reflect Islamabad’s evolving urban identity.
