Islamabad, July 16, 2025: The United Kingdom (UK) has now launched e-visa for Pakistani students and workers, marking a big move towards a more modern and easier immigration process.

From July 15, most main applicants applying for UK visas for study or job purposes won’t need a paper visa sticker in their passports anymore. Instead, they’ll get a digital record of their immigration status, called an eVisa.

An eVisa is an online proof that shows a person has permission to enter, stay, or work in the UK. It also tells about any rules linked to their immigration status.

British High Commissioner Jane Marriott CMG OBE emphasized, “These changes to the UK visa system will make it much simpler for students and workers to prove their identity and visa status. It also means applicants can hold onto their passports, saving them time.”
