Islamabad, July 16, 2025: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is all set to resume flight to the United Kingdom as UK officially lifts its air safety restrictions on Pakistani carriers, a move consider by the national airline as a landmark moment in aviation history.

Calling the development a “milestone for aviation safety,” PIA credited the UK Air Safety Committee’s green signal as proof of its hard work in aligning with top-tier global safety benchmarks. The airline confirmed it’s in the last stages of preparations and putting the final touches on its UK flight schedule.

The comeback will begin with direct flights to Manchester, London and Birmingham. For starters, PIA plans to operate three flights a week — a schedule currently under review for approval.

“This decision is a result of strict adherence to international safety protocols and continuous cooperation between Pakistan’s aviation authorities and the UK government,” said a PIA spokesperson.

As the preparations are finalized, PIA is all set to reconnect families, businesses, and communities across borders.
