Islamabad, July 17, 2025: Another day, another case of violence against women. In a shocking turn of events, well-known TV anchor Jasmeen Manzoor has accused her former husband of domestic violence. She posted gruesome photos and a heartfelt message about her experience on social media.
On her X account, Jasmeen uploaded a screenshot that showed her with a swollen eye, which she claimed was the result of being abused. She wrote: “This is me. Yes this is my story my life destroyed by violent man. I leave my justice to my Allah.”

The anchor added that the attack happened inside her own house, around the time her mother had passed away. She also mentioned having 50 more pictures of the abuse.
In a separate post, she criticized those who supported her ex-husband. “And all those who stood up for a criminal like you.” “This is me gifted by my X husband”.

Jasmeen accompanied her tweet with pictures of her bruised face and swollen eyes and wrote, “This can happen to anyone no one is safe even in the safety your house the most dangerous people are the ones you trust blindly.”

She also spoke about the inner conflict she faced before speaking out.
“I kept thinking for so long whether I should share this with the public or not. But I want to show the courage to share this, so we can all unite against this kind of behaviour and for the government authorities to open their eyes.”
Jasmeen’s online posts have gone viral and received strong backing, especially from journalists and media workers. Thousands of people on social media reacted with shock and support.

One person wrote, “Kudos to you. Women should stand against violence no matter who, where. This needs courage.”
Another commented, “You did right by sharing, such monsters are not to be forgiven or ignored and best is to expose them.” A third added, “If a woman of your stature could be treated like this imagine what these animals would do with a common girl!”
As more people join the discussion, Manzoor’s courage becomes a strong example of how survivors can show strength and why it’s so important to “break the silence.”
