Islamabad, July 19, 2025: Pakistan win the Asian Men U-16 Volleyball Championship for the first time, making a 3-2 victory against Iran in the final held on Saturday.

In an intense showdown, Pakistan pulled off a strong comeback to defeat Iran with set scores of 22–25, 21–25, 30–28, 25–21, and 15–10.

Iran, the defending champions, had the upper hand in the first two sets but couldn’t keep up their performance as Pakistan bounced back with energy and focus.

Junaid was Pakistan’s top scorer with 28 points. Faizan followed with 22 points, while Talha and Muhammad Irfan added nine and eight points respectively.

Earlier the same day, India edged past Japan 3-2 to secure the bronze medal in another closely contested match.
