Islamabad, July 21, 2025: Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and on the special instructions of Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has taken a major step by going digital with medical devices.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has officially launched the online system for fast medical device licensing.

Now, registration and licensing for all medical devices — from wheelchairs to MRI machines — will be done online. People can apply from their homes without visiting any office.

This new system will reduce the process time from several years to just twenty days. It will also help ensure that people get safe, high-quality, and reliable medical equipment faster.
