Islamabad, July 21, 2025: Pakistan will witness a solar eclipse event on August 2, 2027, with certain regions positioned to observe the moon completely covering the sun.
Most areas of the country will only get to experience a partial obscuration.
Areas including Mandi Bahauddin fall within the total eclipse path, while major cities such as Rawalpindi and Islamabad are expected to witness a partial eclipse only.
The phenomenon is set to begin shortly after 3 pm, reaching its peak around mid-afternoon. The total social eclipse will conclude by early evening on August 2, 2027.

In Rawalpindi, the maximum coverage will occur at approximately 3:48 pm, marking the moment the greatest portion of the sun is hidden.
