Karachi, July 24, 2025: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) showed a modest appreciation against the US dollar (USD) in Thursday’s interbank trading session.

The dollar closed at Rs284.22 compared to Rs284.76 the previous day. This reflects a 0.19% strengthening of the local currency amid steady market conditions.

The slight gain comes after a period of relative stability for the rupee against the US currency in July, with exchange rates fluctuating within a narrow range over the past week.

Recent sessions have seen the rupee hover around the Rs284 to Rs285 level, indicating cautious optimism amongst investors and traders.
