Islamabad, July 25, 2025: ACC wraps up AGM in Dhaka with focus on Asian cricket development, Asia Cup 2025 decision pending as discussions with BCCI continue.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) concluded its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Dhaka on a positive note, with officials from all 25 member countries either attending in person or represented by their respective boards. The meeting focused on strengthening cricket development across Asia, although the final decision on the 2025 Asia Cup is still pending.

ACC President Mohsin Naqvi expressed gratitude towards the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for hosting the event and appreciated the collaborative spirit shown by all participating nations. According to officials, discussions throughout the two-day event were productive, with all members agreeing to prioritize the growth of cricket while keeping politics aside.

Talks regarding the 2025 Asia Cup are ongoing, particularly with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and an official announcement is expected soon. While a few individual delegates were unable to travel to Dhaka due to scheduling conflicts, the ACC confirmed that all boards were officially represented.

The Council emphasized that such meetings will continue as part of a joint effort to elevate cricket across the continent.
