Islamabad, July 25, 2025: Under the “Safe Punjab” vision led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has rolled out a major step to link privately-owned CCTV cameras with its main security network.

This move allows surveillance cameras installed at workplaces, stores, fuel stations, and business hubs to join the Safe City system. People can now help in creating a more secure community by connecting their personal cameras to the central setup. Once a request is received, the Safe City staff will check the information and then give access through a specific app.

Most importantly, only those cameras that owners give permission for will be connected to the network. The process strongly focuses on gaining clear approval and keeping personal data safe.

A PSCA representative mentioned that linking private cameras will greatly boost the coverage and strength of the Safe City’s watch system, helping to ensure a safer atmosphere throughout Punjab.
