Islamabad, July 28, 2025: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has given the green signal for Karachi flyover project, constructing a new flyover on Azeempura Road in an effort to ease traffic and boost road connectivity in Karachi city.

As per authorities, the planned flyover will connect Shahrah-i-Bhutto with Sharae Faisal, both being major roads of Karachi. This Karachi flyover project is set to make commuting smoother, especially for travelers heading towards Jinnah International Airport.

The flyover will span nearly 500 metres and is intended to offer a route without traffic signals, helping to cut down travel durations and handle the rising number of vehicles using the route daily. The move was finalized during a session led by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab where “the PC-1 of the project was discussed and approved.”
