Islamabad, July 29, 2025: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has officially announced its Cadet Pilot Program 2025, aiming to recruit 24 fresh cadet pilots Jobs to strengthen its cockpit workforce and overcome the ongoing pilot shortage.
This strategic move aligns with PIA’s long-term plan to expand its international operations, especially across Europe and the United Kingdom.
Under the new initiative, candidates will be selected on a two-year contractual basis, offering them a unique chance to begin their flying careers with Pakistan’s national carrier. This program is especially appealing for young aviators who aspire to be part of a reputable airline and gain real-world flying experience.
To qualify, applicants must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and have completed a minimum of 200 flight hours. In addition, candidates are required to submit a $15,000 financial bond as a guarantee of their commitment and adherence to PIA’s operating standards.
This recruitment initiative is part of PIA’s broader recovery strategy, which includes restoring its Boeing 777 fleet and resuming direct international flights to key destinations like London, Manchester, and Paris. The cadet program is expected to play a vital role in supporting these international routes by training and onboarding skilled pilots.
In addition to cadet pilots, PIA is also in the process of hiring 20 experienced commercial pilots to meet immediate operational requirements. Candidates interested in any of the positions must submit their applications to PIA’s HR department within 15 days of the official announcement.
This hiring drive follows a recent First Officer recruitment round, which attracted over 300 applicants, highlighting the growing passion for aviation careers in Pakistan.
