Islamabad, July 30, 2025: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has finalized the design for the new currency notes.
This update was shared by SBP Governor Jameel Ahmad during a press briefing held in Karachi on Wednesday, where he also confirmed that the interest rate will remain unchanged.

The governor stated that preparations for launching new banknotes are in progress, and a layout crafted by a foreign specialist has been chosen.
Ahmad added that the printing process will commence once the federal Cabinet grants its approval.
